This course is creative, fresh, fun and colourful, written in clear, step-by-step format, and a pleasure to learn Arabic through it.

The author is a Scholar of Arabic with MPhil and PhD degrees in Arabic Philology from the world-renowned University of al-Azhar (Cairo, Egypt), and also majored in English Literature and Language (University of Madras, India). He is an expert of foreign languages and speaks English fluently. His teaching and writing style is crisp and polished. The Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahim has taught Arabic to non-native speakers of it for more than 50 years. His Arabic language books and courses are used throughout the world in schools, colleges and universities. He is known for his knowledge, skills and success in teaching the Arabic Sciences. This is a great profile. Knowing it while learning, is very rewarding.

I recommended customers to buy the full series. Great Reference Book!

As stated by others, this is an excellent reference book/ tool for practicing safety and industrial hygiene professionals. I was fortunate enough to have both authors as instructors for a continuing education course in IH. I also used this book to successfully prepare for, and pass, both the ASP and CSP exams the first time around.

This is an excellent resource for law students, paralegals, legal secretaries and law clerks. Each chapter shows the words in use and gives real-world explanations of the terms. At the end of each chapter there are true/false, matching, fill-in-the-blank, and crossword puzzle exercises to test your knowledge. This book covers just about all the major areas of law: criminal, civil, torts, bankruptcy, property, wills/estate... you name it. I swear by this book - it really helped me in pre-law. At many colleges, this book is standard.

It could be an excellent resource for law students, paralegals, legal secretaries and law clerks and it is true that each chapter shows the words in use and gives real-world explanations of the terms. But at the end of each chapter there are true/false, matching, fill-in-the-blank, and crossword puzzle exercises to test your knowledge which have not any key. I think it is very expensive in relation to the book offers you.

Useful for online learning

This book was my first introduction to law and as a potential court reporter, we don't need to know all the details, just enough to do our job. The book was perfect for that. It gives just the right amount of detail and has numerous types of exercises to reinforce the material. It would have been nice to have the fifth edition of the book as this was the one we were using in class, but I was able to follow along just fine using this book.

Illustrations adequate, but main interest is historical and anectdotal, particularly as regards to the genre painters championed by John Ruskin, and the influence of breakthrough pigments such as "Chinese White". Filled with invaluable information for the professional watercolor painter.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of content in this book. The author writes in a very clear and entertaining way--and by that I mean she knows how to use proper English and makes it interesting--and she knows her stuff. Well-researched, and a fabulous wealth of information on water media. Anyone who paints with watercolor or gouache should know more about the history of their materials for a fully appreciation of them. I would give this 10-stars if I could.
